The Butler County Educational Service Center (BCESC) offers background checks through fingerprinting using WebCheck. Submitted information is electronically processed by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI), and results are available for:
- BCI Report Only
- FBI Report Only
- BCI & FBI Reports
Existing Background Checks
If you already have BCI/FBI reports, they will be accepted if:
✔️ The completion date on both reports is within 365 days of your hire date with SWOCOG.

Requirements at Appointment
✔️ Present a valid Driver’s License or Photo ID at the time of service.
Report Submission & Processing
- BCI/FBI reports are electronically sent to the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) and placed on your OH|ID account (the only method ODE accepts).
- ODE will not share your BCI/FBI reports with anyone.
Mailed Reports & Processing Delays
⏳ In some cases, reports may be mailed instead of sent electronically. This process can take 30 days or more.
🚫 You will not be hired by SWOCOG until both reports are received.
