To maintain your status as an active substitute and be eligible to begin subbing in the upcoming school year, you must complete the following requirements annually:
🔹 Letter of Reasonable Assurance / Intent to Return
-You will receive an email in early May with a link to complete this form. Submission is required each school year.
🔹Updated ODEW License Form (Applicable only to substitutes with a license expiring on June 30th)
-You will receive an email in early May with a link to complete this form.
-If your Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) teaching or substitute license expires on June 30, 2025, it must be renewed. (See renewal instructions below.)
🔹 Submission of Form(s) in SCView
-If your teaching or substitute license is not expiring on June 30th, you will only submit the Letter of Reasonable Assurance / Intent to Return Form.
-If your teaching or substitute license is expiring on June 30, 2025, both of the following forms must be completed and submitted together via SCView:
— Intent to Return Form
— Updated ODEW License Form (including an uploaded copy of your renewed license)
🔹 Public School Works Training
All assigned Public School Works training for the 2024–2025 school year must be completed in full.
