Request for Reactivation

Welcome Back!

If you previously resigned as a SWOCOG Certified Substitute Teacher, we invite you to rejoin our team.

Note: Substitutes who have not been actively employed as a substitute teacher for two years or more will be processed as new employees and must follow the procedures outlined under the “New Substitutes” section.

Instructions for Substitutes “Request to be Reactivated” Process through SCView

1. Contact Human Resources to Begin Reactivation
Please reach out to an HR Specialist via email or phone to initiate the process:

2. Complete the Reactivation Request

You will receive an email from NoReplyCogSubs.
Click the “Request to Be Reactivated” link in the email and complete the three required forms.
If you do not receive the email, please call an HR Specialist or email us at [email protected].

3. Update Background Checks (FBI & BCI)
Your FBI and BCI reports must be current within the past 365 days.
If they are older, you must schedule an appointment to have new checks processed:

-Butler County ESC: (Use Code 3319 291 for both BCI & FBI)
-Warren County ESC: (Use Code 3319 291 for both BCI & FBI)

4. Provide a Valid ODEW License
You must have a copy of your current ODEW Teaching or Substitute License.

If you need to renew or apply for a new license, follow these steps:
-Log in to the OH|ID Portal.
-Access the Educator Licensure and Records (CORE) system.
-Select Apply for a New License or Renew License.
-Follow the on-screen prompts to complete your application.
-Submit all required documentation and payment.

5. Submit Your Completed Forms
Be sure to save and submit your forms to finalize the reactivation process.
